Lots of developers are working on ethereum quite all right, but there are too many scam stories attached to it. I don't think it will last very long in the crypto market Sad

Say what you will about the ETH guys: they are adaptable. If nothing else, that is what will keep ETH alive.

In the long term no business man will want to make deals with the Ethereum foundation. They have shown that the are capable of commiting bad things and it shows that they have criminal minds. They are ruthless but they are also idiots who panic in the face of adversity from the DAO attacker. The attacker must be laughing so hard with what is happening with the Ethereum fork right now.

(snip)

I think you can make the case for the exact opposite as well: Businesses don't care about ethics and morals. Those which do, do so, because it creates a better image, leading to more sales.
With that in mind, I think a business man would prefer to work with a team which is willing to reverse things to iron out faults, rather than work with people who say "yes, we screwed up, but well, the code is law, so… good luck".
