Mycelium wallet question vs Cold storage wallet

I have the mycelium wallet and I made a backup with the 12 password on the option available.

When I reach a certain amount in bitcoin, I want to transfer some money in a cold storage wallet. What is my best and secure option available on the market ?

I can not tell you anything about cloud storage, but i think that mycellium is very safe because only you know the 12 words backup and the pin code

I store often over 8 coins on mycellium android and so far i never got any issues, i not install random stuff on my phone so i consider it as safe enough.

If you plan to store a big amount of bitcoins you should consider the option to buy some hardware wallet, i recommend you trezor it cost 99$ and it's the best to safe your  bitcoins.

There are other hardware wallets around but for me it's the first choice

if you don't want to spend it for a long time then use "paper wallet", you generate a private key and print it on a piece of paper all on an offline computer then you can transfer your coins there and spend it after a couple of years.
i say long term because spending from paper wallet is not easy and you have to create a new one after you spend the first to transfer the remainder to the new one so it would be time consuming.

also if you have a large amount of bitcoin you can buy a hardware wallet like Trezor.

also if you don't want the two options above and have access to an offline PC you can install a bitcoin wallet (i suggest Electrum) and then use it as your cold storage.

* all the things i said above have official websites and tutorial on how to do it properly.

why don't you just print the private key into qr code and use it like a paper wallet you can send your coins into it and can hide that price of paper somewhere you like or kids can play with this new game

I'm sure all of the service's secure online wallet since they have their own security standards, but we just need to add some safeguards so as to make it much more secure.

Download this https://github.com/pointbiz/bitaddress.org and then run it on a air-gapped computer to create your own paper wallets.. It has some fancy Vanity wallets too. I used to download the

whole website to my computer and then copy it to another air-gapped computer, but some people seem to think that is risky too. Once you copied the software, do not go online with that computer,

because your private keys might be logged and then revealed, when you go online. Good luck..

They are both very helpful keeping your bitcoins safe but for me it depends on the amount you are going to keep. If your bitcoin is just a small amount and planning to spend it, then use mycelium. But if its a big amount of bitcoins, i will keep it at a cold storage.

Mycellium is a safe wallet , well as far as safe goes for an online wallet as its still an online wallet. Its very useful for frequent daily usage but to store your fortune of coins there its not really a good thing to do.
