We've got to get together and think of some clever strategy to get this thing back from Blockstream!!!  I can't believe they took over complete control of Bitcoin and now everyone is walking away.  Stupid Chinese miners are a pussies!

Now, how are we going to get it back?  What is our plan to pry this away from Blockstream?

I don't have any plan, and also hate Chinese miners, they steal the electrocity and power from electric factory. Or they steal neiborhood's electricity to mine, I am sick and feel shame on them, thieves to steal money. I hope bitfinex hacker will steal f2pool's btc wallet.

Give me some of the stuff you are smoking dude, because it's affects on your brain is hard core. Do you have proof of any of these things you are saying or

are you just a sock puppet backing OP's ridiculous statements? Nobody has control of anything, they are just simply better and more streamlined to do

these tasks. The US can print some more fake money and buy the whole lot.  Roll Eyes

What are the sources of your claims actually why you think chinese miners are stealing electricity? I don't think bitcoin should be considered centralized to chinese and obviously holding majority of bitcoin by chinese or any millionaire doesn't mean whole bitcoin network is centralized.

What evidence do you have of this? You are basically just saying that they steal everything because reasons, and because of that you're mad. It honestly sounds like you're jealous that there isn't as cheap electricity in your area as there is in China. Stop complaining about it.

As for taking back the control from blockstream, you'd have to get enough prominent figures to just ignore them and go and make their own agency or whatever that everyone changes to. Until you can get people ignoring them and get them replaced, they'll maintain control.

Blockstream haters are getting ridiculous. Same goes for mining centralization by the chinese.

Blockstream is a private company working on an open source protocol, anyone can work and compete against them. Blockchain.info is doing this.

Similarly, anyone (with a lot of money) can invest in mining and start competing against the chinamen. McAfee is doing this.

I don't understand how some people got so tricked by the likes of e.g. Hearn and Gavin, and greedy individuals such as the self proclaimed "Bitcoin Jesus" (the better wording is 'fool') Ver. Please provide us with examples of how Blockstream has taken over control of Bitcoin and how it's damaging the ecosystem.

I can't believe they took over complete control of Bitcoin and now everyone is walking away.
Who's walking away? The wannabe Bitcoin dictator Hearn? The (now obsolete) CIA visitor Gavin? The "follow and pump the altcoins jesus" Ver? Roll Eyes

Blockstream is a private company working on an open source protocol, anyone can work and compete against them. Blockchain.info is doing this.
The company was funded by the very same developers that worked on Bitcoin prior. Obviously, if there's a list of features that need to be integrated they may give higher priority to those that may benefit the company. However, there's nothing wrong with that (it's not like they're implementing things without consensus). These 'groups' need to stop with their social media campaigns and start providing good code. The 'group' with a better set of developers and superior code is always going to end up as the primary implementation of Bitcoin (currently Bitcoin Core).

Sorry, but it's a little ridiculous to ask for strategy in public when you know that your opponents are reading it.

Instead, before changing something, you should analyse the situation deeper :
- Are there organised activities and groups who manipulate this issue or just because their huge number of chinese using Bitcoin so their mass movement influence it

Then, after giving an analytical explanation, you should think about tools to use to change the situation :
- Did comments in this forum are sufficient ? How many members should be integrated? Do you need external help by businessman? ...

Afterwards, the constraints (risks) should be studied :
- Did this action harms Bitcoin or empowers it? what if all your stuff will be banned by a chinese moderator (as a way of resistance)?...

Finally, here are other issues to answer :
- Scope : What are your real targets (balancing the power or reversing it) ? and did the new controller will act better ?
- Time : How long will it take ?
- Consistence : Does it really worth or just anti-chinese reaction (based on racist feelings) ?
- Integaration : who will ensure the continuous actions and sustunability of work ?
....

Note : I am still new member on the Bitcoin world and I didn't still feel the chinese control that you are speaking about but I replied just to make some ideas clear when speaking about a STRATEGY

Dude I have no idea what your problem with Blockstream is but I can assure that I'm totally fine with the acutal roadmap!!
Blockstream is good!!!!!!
Developers with amazing skills and a longterm view for Bitcoin's success!
So why don't you just go with Roger Ver and fork off?!!! Bye bye!!

Do you have any proof of evidence that the chinese miners are completely controlling of Bitcoin? It is because I do still do believe Bitcoin up to now is not controlling by any country. It is still decentralized not centralized.

Maybe Bitcoin mining is profitable only in China because of the cheap hardware and cheap electricity.

Try bitcoin mining in USA or anywere in the western world and the more you mine ,the more you lose money.

Bitcoin still has some value because of the demand coming from China,i guess...

Last time I looked, all decision making are done through consensus, not some Dictatorship. No changes will be accepted, if the majority do not support it. People make so many false claims against the Chinese, it's not even funny anymore. A while ago, people accused them of manipulating exchange volumes, because in their opinion it was too high. They forget that Chinese exchanges charge zero fees, and this makes trading a lot cheaper.

You gotta love those Rhino horn sniffers. ^smile^

anyone can work and compete against them.

This is total bullshit and further shows the dishonesty of Blockstream.  There is MASSIVE desire to go to >2MB blocks.  But, just because One Meg Greg doesn't want to, he uses the position that any changes must be unanimous.  To suggest that the system has a 'free vote' built in is simply ridiculous.

Blockstream should start their own Alt called Blockstream Coin and let Bitcoin revert back to its original form without 1MB limit.  The real Bitcoin isn't the bullshit that Blockstream is forcing on us - for their own benefit where they can charge people for their sidechain access.

The miners are totally blind. They can't see out of their slitty Chinese eyes.  If Blockstream captures all the fees on the side chain, there will be far less fees to catch on the main chain.  Miners paid for all the equipment - and now are limited by only getting main chain fees.  Blockstream will get all the side chain fees.  Total fees is an amount set by free market rate.  Today, miners don't split those fees.  Tomorrow, Blockstream will get more than have the fees as 'sidechain' network access.

Who needs a 'sidechain'?  Data stored on the side chain is data stored.  It doesn't save any bandwidth to keep that data off the main chain.  The total amount of data stored will actually INCREASE with side chain nonsense.  Blockstream only wants to develop the side chain concept so they can own it and charge for it.  Miners are getting fucked.  And they sit there voting with Blockstream!!!  Stupid fuckers.

Please provide us with examples of how Blockstream has taken over control of Bitcoin and how it's damaging the ecosystem.

By manipulating a very small group of Chinese miners (less than about 5 people) who don't understand shit about the protocol, One Meg Greg prevents them from joining the effort to increase blocksize.

It damages the ecosystem because network transaction throughput is artificially limited in order to drive need for Blockchain proprietary 'sidechain' bullshit.

You are totally blind.  Bitcoin is fully centralized.

Bitcoin is controlled by a few people (about 4) who work for Blockstream who easily manipulate large Chinese miners (about 5).

If an actual open vote occurred with the top 10,000 most sophisticated Bitcoin users, we would have switched to large blocks a long time ago.  Satoshi expected 10,000 sophisticated users running voting nodes by this point.  However, mining became highly concentrated and centralized and now Blockstream has found a way to 'rope them in to their plan'.

Last time I looked, all decision making are done through consensus, not some Dictatorship.

Keep saying this over and over - doesn't make it true.

Blockstream 'Consensus' is achieved because Blockstream has tricked (scare tactics) a few Chinese miners into backing their stupid plan to move data to a 'side chain' where they will be able to charge fees for access.

If you had a genuine vote in the community, this would have been settled long ago.
