What is the txid of the transaction? It is highly likely that you did not use a high enough transaction fee.

and on the block explorer it says that there is no such transaction.

I am unable to find this transaction on any block explorer. Can you post the raw transaction? There should be an option to get the raw hex of the transaction, it depends on your wallet.

i paid 0.0001 fee.
That's probably too low, although it depends on how large (as in size in bytes) the transaction is.

if it wont go through will i lose the coins?
No you will not. Either it will confirm and the Bitcoin goes to who you sent it to, or it does not. If it does not, the transaction will eventually be forgotten by the network (although you may have to tell your wallet to forget it) and the Bitcoin will "return" to your wallet. It doesn't actually return, it just reverts to a state in which that transaction was never made.

Ya it is right that you have given wrong Txid or some letters are missing. but i think 0.0001 btc given for transaction fees is ok as i have also sent lot of time from my electrum desktop wallet and use to pay this much only. But one reason it may be that how much you have sent maximum i have sent is 0.1btc so if you have sent 1 btc or above then i think it will take time. And even if the transaction is not confirmed you will get back your bitcoins that is not a problem, only you have to wait for some more time.

A few hours up to a few days. 0.0001 fee is no longer enough to get a fast transaction.

it has been 4 days and nothing has changed.

on multibit site they said that:"You can remove the transaction that never propagated by doing a 'Tools | Reset Block chain and Transactions'."

is it safe to do so or will i end up losing my coins?

thanks.

It should've returned to your wallet unless the 0.05 is from different transaction, or different input that was never confirmed.

Can you get the raw of the problematic transaction?  We can see the details of the transaction using it even if it's not on any explorer.
To get the raw transaction, pick a transaction in the "Payments" tab and click "Details" and click next until you get to the "Transaction Detail".  It's the long numbers at the bottom beginning with something like 0100000001.

thanks but after reseting multibit, the transaction doesnt show anymore. i guess there is nothing to do, maybe some day the block will come back to life and send me back the lost btc......

Next time it would be a good idea to increase the transaction fee that you give to the miners. An idea I use is to look at how much the suggested fee is by clicking send at blockchain.info and then put the amount and then go to advanced settings. From there you will see the suggested amount of transaction fee needed to assure you that your transaction gets included in the block. The fees are always over .0001.
