hello there, I lived in the UK for some years, therefore I still have a bank account there, I recently moved abroad therefore I am no longer a UK resident. What's the best way to buy bitcoins using my uk account? I can't use coinbase because I have to be a resident to register from the uk, I know I can use bitstamp but from the uk it would have to be an international wire transfer which I was hoping to avoid, is there any way I can do it without spending too much transfer/buying fees? thank you!

I use belgacoin dot com which is a belgian company and I go to my bank and pay 5 euros via bank sepa to buy bitcoin. I think you can do that from the U.K as well and so far they have been very good and I get my bitcoin usually within 2-3 working days.

The spelling error in your title " bank accunt " is so ironical that it is actually very true. If I may ask, why did you keep this account

open, and why would you have kept funds in there... if you knew that those funds might become inaccessible, once they have noticed that

you not a UK citizen anymore? The bank accunts are such a pain in the ass.  Tongue

I use Bittylicious. With the instant transfers UK accounts have nowadays and the speed of Bittylicious, you can have the coins within 2 minutes. It's great!

i'm not sure, but i think kraken accept internacional wired transfer. you should give it a try.
another good way is okpay > changer > bitcoin. but using this way you will have way too much fee's.

Kraken is great but their fees are quite hefty to deposit GBP. I only use Kraken to deposit euros because that's free  But Bitty for GBP.

Is this a savings account or operating bank account? Do you have the ability to make faster payments and all the 2FA stuff to go with it like card readers or registered phones? You won't be able to do much without that.

I've used Bittylicious in the past with great success. Their premiums can be insane though so a careful eye needs to be kept on them.

i find coinbase to be rather expensive anyway, localbitcoins is the best to use or bittylicious, just  use a vpn service that allows you to exit in the UK, problem solved
