I saw an article that mentioned Square was accepting Bitcoin as payment. This got me really excited as I know a lot of shops that use Square as a payment processor POS system. I then realized it was an old article and that they only accept it via their online market place. Sad

Here is the article for refrence: https://medium.com/square-corner-blog/square-market-accepts-bitcoin-b1a2abce5eb#.v02hx9e48
Their homepage: https://squareup.com/

So I sent support an email asking if they currently had plans to incorporate a bitcoin payment option into their POS system. They replied saying this was a good idea and they would pass the suggestion onto the product team for consideration.

Here's hoping they follow through and can make this a reality!

great suggestion. it'll be a great news to a lot of people who are also into bitcoining if and only if Square will implement a bitcpin payment option in its system. Since bitcoin is so easy to use. anyway, i will research more regarding to this. if some what shops in my country uses Square too. thank you for this anyway.

the reply is not a corporate head office opinion.

its a standard call centre/ support centre low level employee reply.

many businesses reply this type of message as standard. without it leading to anything.

its like the standard reply when handing in a C.V/resume

"we are sorry the position has been filled but we have kept your C.V on file incase any other opportunities come up in the future"

translation.. it does not mean your top of the list or special. you wont be contacted to get an interview if the same opportunity opens up in 6 months

I DO NOT TRADE OR ACT AS ESCROW ON THIS FORUM EVER.
Please do your own research & respect what is written here as both opinion & information gleaned from experience. many people replying with insults but no on-topic content substance, automatically are 'facepalmed' and yawned at
