Hello,

Are there insurance companies that would insure my S9's farm/data center?  If so, could you recommend some?

Also, what exactly do you tell them that you want insurance for a data center full of computers or do you tell them that it's a data center full of antminer/bitcoin miners?  Would they understand the latter?

Thanks.

I have mine insured through a locally owned co-op style insurance company. Some of the younger employees knew what miners were and were able to classify and insure them for me. I was mostly concerned about theft/vandalism, not sure what all else is covered as the paperwork is about 2 inches thick. Cost is about 1% of total insured amount per year.

Since it s an equipment which will be worth close to nothing in one year time, due to mining difficulty growth, I m not sure it s something you should consider ensuring. It all depends how big is your farm, if it s a really big investment then probably yes. I don't see any issue of any company providing this service as long you have a legit bill to provide proof of value of the new unit.
