Hey everyone!

Today, I am launching a new site: http://alotofkeywords.com/

I know it's really ugly, and even more ugly in code than appearance, but seems to do what I want it to do. It's a site simply specifying unique keywords specific to Bitcoin, bullion, and what have you for buying items where the seller takes a different currency. It's not directly for automated transactions, though might help with traffic a bit as the site's usage grows.

Basically, you write AOKBITCOIN and AOKWILLSHIP on your site if you have an item for sale where you accept Bitcoins, and if you're willing to ship it instead of local pickup. Once Google indexes the page, people can then search via alotofkeywords.com or manually with the keywords, to find the item. It does not replace standard SEO keywords, but rather complements them for more exact queries. Once the item is sold, if you don't delete item pages you can add AOKSOLD to exclude it from the listings.

Or, if you take pictures and want to release them into the public domain, you can put AOKPDOMAIN in the album description, then make sure something links to it so Google will find it.

Of course, word-by-word descriptions explaining how to make payment are important, and if you're using this with Craigslist you'll still need to make sure the seller is legit through other means. I just saw a bit of a problem with there being so many different Bitcoin listing sites which your searching could miss. If you own Bitmit, post Craigslist ads, or have any other sort of Bitcoin market, you can simply add this keyword to each product page's contents (or maybe <meta>) so that it's also indexed through alotofkeywords.com. This way, you can search Craigslist, Bitmit, Bitcoin-OTC, and other markets all at once, and fairly precisely. Of course, this only goes as far as it's adopted. Early adopters rank very highly and everyone gets more link traffic (for specific search terms), in theory.

Anyways, let me know what you guys think. Suggestions are welcome. Have not tested the site on IE. Seems to work on Firefox, Webkit, and the IOS browser.

Thanks,
Teran

Bump. Haven't seen anyone add these keywords to their site/ads other than myself. Would really appreciate it if someone did :-).

I can see this being really difficult (without a big marketing budget) to get people to adapt to. Maybe it can catch on, dunu.

For now any searches I'm doing on it aren't pulling any bitcoin or alternative currency-specific results : (

Thanks for your reply! That's absolutely true; it has a chicken-and-egg problem with usage. As far as I know, I'm the only person using it so far. You can search for Bitcoins without any parameters to see what's for sale, but probably not anything that you want in particular just yet.

Actually, it looks like someone else has started to use it! Pretty cool :-).

I just hope one of the bigger Bitcoin item listers, or maybe Bitmit will pick it up. I still think it'd be nice to aggregate all of the Bitcoin sites so simply this way.

Thanks again,
Teran
