Hi, I am looking for a AltCoin to mine in Solo, I have 2 small ASIC S3+ and power is not so bad.

I have tried lately Burstcoin and ... it is not for me, even if it is ASIC proof you still need a lot of hard drive space to run Solo to actually make profit.

So do any of you have a coin that will start soon or a coin that I could mine. I am mining for fun and education not for profit.

Well, your mining power is not that strong. I would concentrate on new and small coins. Robelneo already posted a good site where to find such coins. You should also observe the altcoin announcement section to find new projects in an early stage. Try to get in contact with the devs to figure out if it is just a cheap crap coin or not.

well, i dont know about asic mining... but if you have a gpu rig zcash will be the smart choice. just dont hold the coins because the price is going down...
But if you want a new altcoin, just look at ANN and choose one with a friendly algorithm.

If you have the HDD space you should mine BURST in addition to what you're trying to do.

do we need ASIC machines to mine altcoins too ,i thought you  could mine if you are having a good processor and graphic card,is Burstcoin a new coin ,since there are a million coins is it difficult to follow and understand everything

There are coins with SHA algo. if your ASIC could mine and your electricity cost is low, there is no reason why you won't be getting profit later.
I always want to try mining and master the blockchain and bitcoin technology, there will be a demand for these skills later.

Burstcoin is established (about 2 years).  It's unique in that it doesn't take a lot of power or computer resources to mine...very green, eco friendly.  You need a Burst wallet and free HDD space (the more the better)...you have to plot that (which can take some time)...but other than that you can mine in the background while using your computer.  Very easy imo.
