I do not think they will be paid bitcoin directly in most countries. but they can use the fiat to buy the bitcoin.

If we gonna compare them with each other I think the bitcoin is much better but still much too small compared with the bitcoin itself.
The bitcoin could win in my opinion but it would take some time, because right there are also still too much people using and depending on the dollar.
