Does anyone have any information on what has happened to Litecoinpool.org

Site has been down for at least 20 minutes.

According to their IRC channel, they are under DDoS attack. Haters gonna hate, and all that.

What is the point?

Im guessing to try and keep difficulty low you the one(s) involved can mine more coins

newlc.ozco.in is also under ddos.

Guess looking for some smaller, less well-known pools can be worth the effort.

I switched to P2Pool and it works really well.

Plus it's better for the strength of the network because it is decentralized.

they are all being DDoS.

just about every pool out there.

it is also butt hurt bitcoin ppls who own ASICS and are deeply jealous thta "common" people can control and mine litecoin.

It took me about 6 minutes to set it up, so it's really not that tough.

As for transaction bloat -- I just have a separate wallet for my P2pool deposits.
