There's the current build I have. What am I missing? How should I set it up when I do acquire it? What OS/mining programs should I use? Any other questions I should ask?

I'm just getting into the mining aspect of cryptocurrency, and even though I'm doing a lot of research on it, it seems nigh impenetrable. Could someone explain the basics in simple terms?
