Hello Everyone,
i just came across this article for ICANN key generation ceremony! WTF!

This is a bit worrying, given the fact that blockchains now exist and flourish.

What if DNS system was distributed etc. (namecoin just disappeared, apparently we need something here) and there was no need for icann etc.
Imho, we have to protect the DNS system as without it there will be no internet.
With distributed dns there would be no censorship etc.

14 people, 7 keys etc are all central points of failure, given the freedeom bitcoin and blockchain technologies give today.

I would like to hear your opinions on this

Scary isnt it? DNS is an open system though and you can use an independent server if you want.
