myetherwallet.com is a good and trusted wallet, all you need to do is to make sure you protect your private keys from others

I'd only recommend myetherwallet.com, Its the only one I used and felt comfortable using when I was a ETH holder.

One that I used myself with ease and no problem at all was myetherwallet.com and I don't know any other site providing the same service but I know there are more but not recommending them.

i dont hold any ETH, but i do have a few tokens that i hold in one wallet created at myetherwallet. Never had any problem there, definitely recommend.
Just be careful with your private key, and make sure to have a clean computer when generating/using the wallet.

if you want to use web wallet base, you can use myetherwallet, but if you want to use your android phone as your wallet, then you can use jaxx. jaxx is simple apps for android which currently support until 7 crypto currency so you can save your 7 coins in one wallet.

why not just keep them on an exchange?
you are taking the same risk by trusting a third party wallet website that you don't even know the history of.
but with an exchange you at least know there is no additional risk (other than exchange running away)! just remember to use a trusted exchange like poloniex, bittrex, btc-e and use strong password + 2 FA

and besides you will end up selling them soon anyways so what is the point of transferring them out.

an exchange is not a wallet. you don't have the keys to your coins. you only have a balance that is shown to you when you log in.
so you just recommended the worst wallets to store ETH.
