Just wondering if I import a private key into QT whether it will add to the balance or replace it?  I am almost sure it adds to it, but was just wondering.  Yes I backed up my wallet.dat. :-)

Thanks.

No, it only adds.

Bitcoin Core developer [PGP] Warning: For most, coin loss is a larger risk than coin theft. A disk can die any time. Regularly back up your wallet through FileBackup Wallet to an external storage or the (encrypted!) cloud. Use a separate offline wallet for storing larger amounts.

That's what I thought.  Thanks for the help.  I thought it would be best to check.
