While reading an article on cointelegraph a few days , I saw a mention of Lightning network , SegWit & TumbleBit and how they could help bitcoin grow but I still don't understand what is TumbleBit and when we should expect seeing this update as I never heard anyone speaking about it

i feel it has to do with a mixing service

here is a white paper. https://eprint.iacr.org/2016/575.pdf

havnt read it myself so worth you reading

the reason it mentioned LN was purely related to multisig. which ultimately is the smart contract LN uses.

Here is a good explanation, if you still do not understand the concept. https://scalingbitcoin.org/transcript/milan2016/tumblebit ... It seems to

be a service built on top of Bitcoin to increase anonymity and privacy. We know Bitcoin is only pseudo-anonymous, so this service will increase

anonymity. Read the article, it explains everything in detail.  Grin

I read the article as the whitepaper is too big and It contains a lot of technical details that I don't really get but I have to say that It sounds very interesting. In other words , this should be better then the current mixers and more trusted to use instead of a third party service but If we compare it to Darkwallet , which one has a better privacy protection ? I also didn't find anyone from bitcoin core speaking about TumbleBit , is this planned for sure after SegWit and LN ?
