Exactly how few bitcoin users are there? Presumably right now the average bitcoin account has far more than 10 BTC in it? If there are only 11 million BTC in circulation then that would imply with 1 million bitcoin users thhat on average each would only hold 10 btc?

In a global population of 7 billion I'm struggling to cope with the idea that there aren't nearly 1 million bitcoin users already.(Napster had around 80 million users at its peak, and that only ran for 2 years and appealed in the main to 15-30 year olds)

Its impossible to answer this accurately but roughly how many users are there? and how many do we think there will there be in 6 months time?  I'm finally starting to see why buying in at even $250 may end up proving to be a ridiculously good bit of business!

Was my post useful to you?  Tips graciously received!

It is, you're an early adopter. I would be surprised if even 1 million people have Bitcoins right now. It's going to reach Napster and Facebook levels in about a year. So next year at this time it will be 20-30 million.
