What happens if a pool is down with accepted shares?

hello all,

my first post, my first question. http://ltc.kattare.com/ is down today. Two of my minerd cpuminers are still mining.

[2013-04-10 16:57:24] accepted: 1809/2231 (81.08%), 47.54 khash/s (yay!!!)

What happens with found shares? Are they cached or will the get stale, because the results could not be delivered to the pool?
