Hello everyone,

Sorry for my noobiness, I just learnt about bitcoin, and I have been reading around and so excited to join this forum!  I have a rig at home (AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition processor and an ATI 5770 graphics card ) that I occasionally use for cad, but I was wondering if I could use it to mine bitcoin.  I don't pay for electricity where I stay so that should not be an issue.

What would be the best way to mine bitcoin?  Should I mine other alternatives like Litecoin or something else?

Thanks,

Jade

You can check how much profit you would earn online, theres a mining calculator which saves a lot of head work. However I think mining bitcoin with that hardware will be unprofitable, I could be wrong.
