After hearing so many horror stories it seems like a good idea to get a cheap dedicated machine for all Bitcoin transactions (sending, trading, generating paper wallets, etc) before loading up on BTC.
Any suggestions on nice, small, cheap netbooks that runs Linux well and will get the job done?
Also what steps should be taken to harden a standard Linux (say Ubuntu) installation?
Are there easy ways to completely isolate certain processes, like your Bitcoin client(s) and Chrome? Besides running an entire VM, that is.
