Hi,

I am developing my own bot. I am able to connect to Bitstamp, get my balance, get trades and so forth.
But I would like to test placing orders, cancel and so on.

Obviously I don't want to use crypto/fiat to test development.

Is there any sort of sandbox/test mode that would make development possible?

Thanks

none of the exchanges that I have seen so far have what you are looking for.
the only thing that you can do is to search for bitstamp api wrapper (https://www.google.com/search?q=bitstamp+api+wrapper) on google or github and find the programming language you are using, then either use one of those wrappers or double check your code with theirs and then test your application with the minimum allowed trade size to reduce the loss (that is what I did with 0.0001BTC volume on altcoin exchanges)

Only Bitcoin
