Hello all.

I started using Bitcoins a few days ago . I have been learning a lot but there are some things which human opinions is just the way to go.
First of all i wanted to ask you about my wallet, the topics i have seen here are a little confusing and complex. All i wanted to know is, i saved my wallet.dat on external memory card, but i still acess the wallet with the computer not the memory card, is that wrong? And if it isn't, will i have to be always saving the wallet.dat in the memory card every time i gain BTC in order for it to be safe? Or because im using the exe on my pc, saving the wallet.dat on a memory card does nothing?

Another thing i wanted to ask you, is actually a opinion. I have a gtx 675m, im running 63.3 Mhash/s, on the slush pool im getting a new share every 3 minutes. Is that good? Should i just quit? It seems that the difficulty now is so high! I have check the difficulty history and it's 7x times harder to mine than it was 1 or 2 month ago. The online calculaters tell me i will get only 1 BTC in more than one year?  Embarrassed i don't know if this is accurate, since im mining in a pool and not solo.

I you guys think that it will get or it already got impossible for regular users to mine some decent BTC ( 1-5 month  Cry  ) ? Im really confuse. Last year i did informed myself about Bitcoins, but it seem to have expanded a LOT now .

(Sorry for my english)

Backing up your wallet is a good thing, and won't effect the wallet on your PC, but if your PC crashes you are saved.

Look into litecoin mining, it is easier at the moment. I am using cudaminer, which you can find on this forum, with nvidia cards at the moment.

But is it normal that only a wallet.dat is saved? Imagine that my PC brokes, than i have to install bitcoin wallet again, and i can't seem to find some " import wallet" option. Do i just copy from the memory card to the computer and the progam will detected it ? That's the think i don't understand :s

Im using GUIminter. I will wait to a more "veteran" answer, since just like me, you are a newbie x)
