I notice this again and again. I am at a website that does not have dynamic content or media, like this one, and Chrome starts to download data furiously, often over 1 mb per second for an extended period of time. Why?

The content maybe hidden and google chrome tries to download everything it finds in a webpage. I recommend to use Firefox latest version always. I know it is a bit slower than chrome but it is better in every aspect , mainly in security.
