Russian transliteration of "PPC" sounds really bad as well. PPCoin should be renamed.

There seems to be a consensus agreement that P2P is a better name for it.
Can Sunny King say if renaming is possible? Not that it's a major thing but people keep bringing it up all the time.

Honestly, I would like to take care of the rebranding and I accept bounties to do this. Right now the image of the coin is very geeky and not consumer-friendly. We need to describe the advantages of this wonderful coin in simple english, create a modern version of "What is PeerCoin?" and pimp up the website. I am here to help.

I think ppcoin needs a name change, the sooner the better. Bitcoin has a awesome ring to it and ppcoin needs to be better

name has more drawbacks than you may think. The "octet" was invented because "byte" means dick in France. Renaming is easy at this point. Im not really immature, but I would feel weird saying "can I pay with pp?

Branding (especially when it comes to creating trust) is huge deal.  The concept of litecoin being bitcoin's silver was genius.  PPC is so much more innovative, it would be great to see that originality transfer over to the marketing side.  It may just be that Sunny is doing everything and could use a little help.

I personally feel that rolling out the next version with an updated website and name is a huge opportunity.  Peercoin is a nice name because it seems to convey Sunny's original concept.  You could also use the same logo.

You must have heard of the Nintendo Wii? The biggest selling console of this generation. Does that name remind you of anything? Did it stop it selling tens of millions of units and being played on by small children?
