Hi there,

After 1 year of using bitcoins with no problems at all, i now struggle since 2 days with a Unconfirmed transaction , i've read a lot about it and even if i think understand the way it works i'am kind of lost at the moment :/

I'am using electrum. The first transaction was confirmed only 30 mins after i send a transfer from Kraken to my wallet so everything went fine as always , but when i tried to spend thoses coins it hangs there with no confirmations for 2 days now :/

Was the fee too low ? I tried this method but i can't get it to work Sad

https://steemit.com/bitcoin/@profitgenerator/tutorial-how-to-fix-unconfirmed-transactions

A little help please ? ^^

Your Transaction size (in bytes) => 191 bytes

Your Transaction fee (in BTC) => 0.0001152 BTC

Your Transaction fee (in satoshi's) => 11520 sat

Your Transaction fee (in satoshi's/byte) => 60 sat/byte

Your current priority => 0 (low priority)

it seems like your fee of 60 sat/byte isn't high enough to get into the next 24 blocks with a 95% certainty at the time of writing

The options are also listed at the bottom of the page on my website... I didn't add tutorials/howto's to the options (yet) tough... But most of these options can be google'd, or you're always free to pick a sollution and ask some questions in this thread or in PM Wink

I think the one i already tried is the last one aka "Double spending" but i didn't worked Sad

The "Replace by Fee" could have been perfect for me but it wasn't included in the version of Electrum i was using and the original transaction has to be created with the option in order to work so can't use this one.

And if macbook-air or Quikseller stop by here, i would be more than happy to pay them if they can add the block to their pool Smiley

Otherwise i guess i can only wait and hope i never make this mistake again -_-

Thanks for your quick and perfect answer anyway Smiley

No problem...
BTW: with a 60 sat/byte fee, you can use the viabtc-link on my webpage Wink
If they didn't receive to many requests, you could get your tx into the next block they're working on (usually ~2-3 hours)

Already did it like 5 minutes ago thanks to your answer Cheesy It said that the transaction was sucessfully added so i'll check in the next couple hours if there is any updates Smiley Thats strange cuz i just noticed that when i made this transaction my setting in Electrum was on Dynamic fee so electrum should have calculated the right fee at the time i sended it but looks like it didn't :/

I've set it to manual fee now so i can choose everytime if i want a fast confirmation or not.. and i activated the RBF for the next times am i correct ? Smiley

Personally, i think that's the wisest thing to do... I don't understand why some community members pushed RBF to be opt-in rather than opt-out, but since it's opt-in, i personally think it's a good idear to always enable RBF... It will solve future problems if you ever add insufficient fees again Wink (no offence tough, i added to little fees to transactions myself in the past, so it can happen to me to).

About the manual fee: i think it's wise to let electrum propose a fee, and then manually adjust it up or down (depending on the amount of inputs/outputs and the current recommanded fee, but also depending on the fact if i'm sending BTC between two of my own wallets, or if i'm sending BTC to a thirth party... In the first case, i don't mind waiting, so i add a lower fee. In the second case, time is usually of the essence, so i add a bit higher fee)
