Hello we have just upgraded and bought 2x new gaming rx 470 , Before we have been mining with 7990 (dual core gpu) + 7950 on win7,  now despite we have only 4 gpu the system recognises it as 5 gpus so we can't run it on win7 (the 6gpu mod wasn't working)

Now I have installed win 10 , disabled win auto driver update and tried to install catalyst 15.12 unfortunately the drivers were installed only for 7990 and other 3 gpus were ignored, the miner was also working only with 7990, so I uninstalled the drivers - restart -instal -restart, but outcome was the same I tried the same process but with crismon 16.1.1, same results... In afterburner I can see Ellesmere, which is probs 470 with driver version: 'catalyst'
and 2x 7990  with no drivers... I'm really hopeless, what is the best way how to install it, maybe start with only 1 card and then plug other one etc?

In device manager I could see 2x 7990 installed + Microsoft Basic display adapter

Thanks

I am using W10 with the newest driver 17.2.1 and have no problems. You should remove all cards, uninstall all drivers, than plug in only one card and install Catalyst again. If it is working, plug in the next card and so on.

keep mining or die trying

thanks it has been already solved, the problem was that new cards like rx 470 -480 don't support these old drivers Cheesy
