We will soon know about the fate. I heard if there is no answer, it gets by default approved ?

It's true, But in my opinion and understanding only even the SEC disapprove it, still bitcoin will increase more but not as what we expected as high instead of 2000$ at the midst of this year it will only become 1500$. But its only an speculations not sure about this things.

I don't think it will pass based on the simple fact of the intense volatility and risk present with such a currency like bitcoin, I believe in Bitcoin to the end I really hope it really does come to a day where it has mass adoption in the world. But I don't think the SEC is going to be setting this precedent with Bitcoin and other risky investments that are attempting to gain ground on getting an ETF approved.

Plus I highly doubt the people in the SEC are going to want to learn about / care enough about the blockchain, Bitcoin, and all these other innovations that may impact the banks that spend millions bribing everyone from the top down in the SEC.

I do think it will pass, yes.  That's not what interests me, though.  It's how an ETF will affect the bitcoin price, if at all, and I think that's what we all want to know.

My question is, why should it affect anything?  People are certainly free to buy bitcoin as they please, and I don't see the advantage of owning shares of an ETF over real bitcoin.

Another question is, if countries have banned bitcoin (like Russia, I believe?), can citizens of such countries buy the ETF shares?

It seems analysts don't think it will pass, but investors do.

I've been reading about it for a while now and about ETF's in general and nothing I've read has explained exactly why the SEC would not approve it.

Why wouldn't it pass?
The wait is almost over mate since March 11 is nearing. I cannot really make a good explanation on why it would pass or not and I just leave it up to the experts.

Upon reading the news, it stated that speculators are expecting ETH will pass and based on what I noticed, the price of bitcoin is increasing therefore I conclude that this is the voice of the investors who believe it will pass.

My judgement is based on the opinion of the many which shown on their actions, so I would say 100% I'm confident it will pass.

I too believe that ETF will be surely approved. Analyst and financial management experts have given strong reasons for the approval. One of which is the real time usage and for the regulatory needs. Soon after this as Japan holds regulations in trading we too users around experience the same.
