I'm having a few serious account related issues that I need to contact coinbase support about, but unfortunately, I am unable to actually do so. Their phone number is only for compromised accounts, their AI help system just tells me to use their contact form, and their contact form doesn't allow me to contact anymore since the last two drop downs are disabled no matter what I select. I have this issue on both Chrome and Firefox, and on both a Windows PC and Chromebook. Weirdly, if I try to contact from their Android app, it opens a browser window within the app that is somehow able to contact.

Is anyone else having this issue? I've been trying to contact them for over a month before I figured out that the Android app worked.

Contact us page on coinbase and sent a ticket from them to test. It's working fine for me.

How about using the incognito browser?

If not you can contact them directly from these emails below:

- contact@coinbase.com
- support@coinbase.com
- press@coinbase.com
- contact@updates.coinbase.com

And check their social media account list and check this "How can I contact Coinbase support?"

I took a look at Coinbase's contact page(https://help.coinbase.com/en/contact-us.html) for you.

You probably know this already, but I'm going to say it just to be sure as you might be rushing through the questions: The last 3 drop downs will be disabled if you haven't picked an option on the first drop down(What is your country or region of residence?*), and if you haven't picked an option on the "Choose your product*" radio buttons.

tldr; you need to answer the preceding questions before you can answer the succeeding questions or else the drop downs will be disabled.

Here's a screenshot of the issue I am having on Windows 10 and Chromebook in both Chrome and Firefox:

That screenshot was taken on March 8th and I am still having the issue as of today. At that time I was trying to reach a real person from phone or chat unsuccessfully, so the screenshot shows they have an circular loop issue with the AI assistant not recognizing this as a type of problem.

tldr; you need to answer the preceding questions before you can answer the succeeding questions or else the drop downs will be disabled.

Yes, I know you have to click the radio button on the top. If you don't that disables the 2nd drop down. The issue is that neither the 3rd nor 4th work regardless of what I select. You can see in my screenshot that this is selected and the last two options are greyed out indicating I cannot interact with them to submit the form even though the proceeding drop downs had an option selected.

No difference with Incognito browser. That's the first thing I tried, after trying a different browser. Then of course I tried using a different computer entirely.

I tried help@coinbase.com , but this is the auto response:

Even if I reply to an existing ticket, the moment they close the ticket that auto response is generated. I can only email in direct response to an open ticket.

Since I was able to contact them with the Android app, I was able to get the initial issues dealt with, and I mentioned this issue to them. They asked if I was on a Beta version of Chrome, and I told them I wasn't. Chrome auto updates without my consent so it could have changed something, but Firefox is intentionally left out of date to prevent websites from breaking and hasn't been touched since before the issue started.

Why would I be the only one not able to contact them?

Immortal until proven otherwise.

There's probably something we're missing here.

1. What happens when you open that page on your mobile phone? Through your browser, and NOT through the Coinbase app.
2. Have you tried doing this with your Coinbase account logged out of your browser?
3. This might be too much of a stretch and I heavily doubt it's due to your internet connection or IP, but have you tried using a different internet connection by chance? A coffee shop or something?

Yeah, this is weird bug. I've tested that page on three different browsers (Firefox, Tor, DDG) on three different devices, using two different internet connections across multiple VPN servers/Tor nodes, and am completely unable to reproduce it.

Is there maybe some add on or extension, or maybe some tweaked setting, which is common across all the browsers you used which could be interfering in some way?

I can access their contact page without any issues.

Maybe you could try to contact them through their subreddit r/coinbase, I see their support is active there which answers some questions per day.

Weird. I just tried to see if I have the same error, I didn't. The third pop down menu works, regardless of what I select, and then subsequently the 4th pop down menu.

Screenshot:

If it doesn't work,try contacting them on reddit, like how Bl4nkcode mentioned.

Have you tried contacting their twitter??

A not so conventional attempt for a "fix" just so you can contact them once and keep the conversation through email:

1. Right click the form and click "Inspect element";
2. CTRL + F and look for "mb-4 cb-form";
3. Right click it and select "Edit as HTML" or press F2 (to edit);
4. Replace it with the code in this link: https://pastebin.com/1wU6msbU

Disclaimer: Obviously, you shouldn't blindly do that since I could be giving you a code that could be doing anything (e.g: making the form send me an email - instead of Coinbase -, where I can impersonate them or something similar), but the code is quite simple and it's only HTML, so you can check by yourself (it's basically the form HTML code after you select the inputs and see the rest of the form with message, email, etc fields).

And this is also a pretty shit "solution". Tongue

Why would I be the only one not able to contact them?

What I think is your location might be restricted that is why the coinbase support is disabled in your country?

How about try to contact it again from their contact page and use a VPN instead for testing purposes. Because I tried to contact them through tor browser and try to use their contact page the email and message and submit button doesn't show so your internet might be the issue.

VPN or changing DNS might be the solution.
