Images using the [img] tag don't show up. Any help?

Hey I wanted to include some pictures in a previous thread and I added them with the [img] tag. In my thread they didn't show up but when someone quoted my thread to answer it the images where there. Is this because I'm relatively new to the forum?

Newbies can't post images but you're not a newbie any more so it should be fine.
