what is this long poll IO error that appears in the bottom left corner of GUI miner that stops my mining from time to time? and how do i stop it from happening? anyone know?
i am running windows 8 with AMD HD 7770 1gb with GUI miner
looks like many new members have asked this question and have not got any answers...i guess nobody can figure that out ... Sad
i think i may have got it figured out  Cool

ok so long poll error is when the deepbit server send you a notification that there is a new block but it is to go to the next block without error and it doesnt. if anyone can clarify that that would be great. That is why the long poll error happens on gui miner and what it is.
this is what it says on deepbit site: We notify your bitcoin miner about new block with the help of long polling. This allows to minimize the number of stale shares.

it would have been helpful to post how to fix the problem.

Though it seems that it will automatically correct itself after some time.
