Via Ebay dumbchump has buy it now prices equal to approximately:

  • MS69 BTC1 Sliver - BTC2.91
  • MS69 BTC1 Gilt - BTC4.16

This will give you a reference of his reserve price for any auction on here or otherwise. BTC conversion prices based on a $1200 value to BTC.

Oh, hey. I wasn't trying to imply anything good or bad about the prices you've set. Seriously!

Sorry if my comment mis-stated the intent. I was only trying to convey what your absolute sell points are. You want to get the most money you can, and if someone offered you those buy it now prices you'd (presumably) sell the coins immediately. I didn't mean anything more than this!

I think your original ask prices are fair. (I'd hope to get the same for mine!) The markets are always a bit up and down depending on the week.

Also, Ebay is a tough place to sell Casascius coins. First, you don't get the security of using one of the established folk offering escrow on this forum. And Second, there's a lot more bitcoin in the pockets of forum members then there are dollars in the pockets of Ebay goers.

These coins look MINT...and you should get a prime price for them!

Hold up.... what?!?

The starting bid for the silver is $2500 or about 2.1 btc and the gilt is $2950 or about 2.45 btc.  There is no reserve at all.  This goes for my asking prices in this thread too.  I think you misread the ebay auction.  The buy it now is ridiculous....I'm the first to admit that.

[EDIT:  buy it now removed to avoid confusion.  HabBear is right that I never expected to get those prices anyway]

Thanks for the reply HabBear and sorry to jump on your post so quick.  Agreed that eBay isn't a good place to sell but I haven't received an offer above 1.9btc for either MS69 1btc coins either....so this forum has been a tough place for me too.  It is frustrating that I'll likely net less than 2btc even if I sell them on eBay (after the fees).  That said....I'll seriously consider all overs above 1.9!
