I was using Electrum portable 2.5.4 and now I've made a new portable 2.7.18 wallet from my seed and I want to import the old labels.

The old wallet exports them as .dat file but the new version of Electrum wants .json file for import.

Is there any way how to import the labels?

I've posted to Reddit allready, but no success there.

Try renaming the file to .JSON

I just checked the imported .dat file from old version and the content seems the same as the new .json file. So try renaming it by changing the extension from electrum_labels.dat to electrum_labels.json and see if that helps.

Yes, it did the job, thanks.

I tried changing .dat to .json before, but  I FU by also changing the file name in the process for some reason. Realized it looking at your post.
