they said there was going to be an official announcement but i havent seen anything yet.

maybe it was an april fools Sad

has anyone heard or found anything more

Yes. They are just busy making sure BTC works. They said they are just delayed.

Yeah they're just busy no doubt trying to upgrade their servers, handle the ddos attacks, upgrade trading engine etc.

When they said 1-2 weeks I always read that as 2-4 weeks, knowing that these things usually get delayed.

People should tweet magictux, he tends to answer these sorts of things if he receives enough tweets about it.  Wink

Yes, they are, but the release schedule was pushed back 1-2 weeks according to MtGox in their Reddit AMA:

I suspect they'll roll out one alternate chain first and make sure it works, then follow up with the 2nd chain a week or so later.
