Hello, with fellow supporters of UASF/BIP148 for SegWit, we started building site
https://bip148.org
that:

- - hosts binary Gitian builds that we run, of Bitcoin(+Knots)+BIP148draft (lists checksums we have)

- - will soon provide binary Gitian builds of vanilla Bitcoin+BIP148draft

- - distribute this binaries

- - will explain why BIP148 is a good idea

It's source is on Github linked on top

- - We also prepared a totally automated Gitian build script (needs polishing)
and a fix to partially buggy Gitian run script in Bitcoin Core (fails for us on Debian, will PR that a bit later after clearing it up - the "Scripts" link on top)

I would like to invite you to test it and join Smiley I think now our movement needs:

- - simply downloading that torrent there (to test d/l speeds etc)
- - could use someone setting up own torrent tracker(s) for this
- - repeating the Gitian build (just use Script, provide mac SDK or skip mac, wait 8-12 hours)
- - running the resulting binary version (on other computer, or after confirming with trusted people - obviously)
- - ideas how to host the download (800 mb for full version, probably <100 for non-debug pack) so it is fast, secure, DDoS resistant

- - fixes to CSS/HTML
- - styling, typo
- - text - arguments why use UASF
- - linking to this page from other pages

- - support for known community members (in time we can prove that known community members are owning this site. even if they will not to announce publicly who exactly due to some recent threats...)

We're open for any feedback, and PRs.

Thanks, and let the Improvements - Supporting community win Cool

I suggest listing the services that are supporting UASF, you could check reddit from time to time If you want those info, checking http://www.uasf.co/ could also give you a better idea on what you should mention in your site.

If an idea is so bad that it needs a specific website to promote it to an thirsty community, it should not be implemented. Everyone knows that the current block size doesn't work. Everyone wants a solution to fix it. Segwit has been proposed and it has not stuck because not everyone likes it. A website will not change that.
