cgminer freezes on feathercoin pool

Currently trying to mine feathercoins for the pool http://feathercoin.is-a-geek.com:8341

As soon as I enter my user/pass cgminer freezes and the windows error "cgminer has stopped working" pops up. I did not have this problem while mining bitcoins on slush's pool.

are you using "--scrypt" parameter? it's different algorithm than BTC
also quick check is, that rate for common GPUs is in kHash/s (150-600kH/s) not in MHash
