BTC's main point of attraction to the normal masses is its fast confirmation of transaction and low fees

Nope. Dollar signs was the USP.

Don't be fooled by this move towards Alt coins... there are most probably some sinister agendas behind this. People are making huge profits by

hyping up this whole "crisis" .... Some coins are seeing huge spikes in their price and nothing pushing that other than hype surrounding the

supposed problems around Bitcoin. ETH and Dash and some other coins are being used to make profits for people who bought before this bubble

was created.... and when these bubbles burst... these people would have syphoned off millions and loads of people will be left with empty

bags.  Roll Eyes

I'm wondering where they will move their huge profits after alt bubbles burst? If they will decide to buy BTC with it, which is entirely possible, then Bitcoin will skyrocket and those who are buying now at under $1,000 will make good profits.  Wink

They always come back to Bitcoin, because Bitcoin has the network of merchants and services where you can actually buy something with your

currency. They only use these Alt coins to increase their profits. I also play the same game and that is just how the market works. The problem is

when "newbies" start believing this FUD and they do not see what these guys are doing and then lose a bunch of money because of this.

It is not falling apart, we are just experiencing this huge price drop because of this Hard Fork dilemma, and we don't have to panic and start selling or converting our bitcoins, we have to relax because soon, this thing will be over. Bitcoin will not fall apart just like that because a copy cat coin has arrived, trust me, it is just temporary.

Before we know it, bitcoins price will skyrocket again because this Hard Fork thingy will vanish, and like the usual, bitcoin will remain the highest coin amongst all the coins here in the crypto world.

*** Bitcoin will not fall apart just like that because a copy cat coin has arrived, trust me, it is just temporary.

Before we know it, bitcoins price will skyrocket again because this Hard Fork thingy will vanish, and like the usual, bitcoin will remain the highest coin amongst all the coins here in the crypto world.

without sollution to main problem that mean scalling it will look more like that:

***
Before we know it, bitcoins price will skyrocket again because this Hard Fork thingy will vanish, and like the usual, bitcoin will remain the highest coin amongst all the coins here in the crypto world.
***

Consider scenario that BTC split into BTC-C and BTC-U (all each side call itself bitcoin)
Now both sides have about fuel and money to attack:
-BTC-U spamm atack BTC chain and  stcuk for long. Since many of those BTC-U don't care about BTC-C will use it coin ass amunition to attack
-BTC-C is doing the same
NOW BEST

-according to bitfnex BTC-U/BTC-C is 0.3/0.7 BTC so we can thing that average of 0.3 BTC current market cap will be put into alts.
Since sides hate each other they will dump BTC-C BTC-U for fiat and alts mostly Etherum.

Etherum should swing like 2x after this happened and have market cap like ( BTC-C+BTC-U ) = ETH

Do you think that in this scenario will reverse ? Yes it can when some bugs in ETH will blow up market cap and exploits IF code will fuck up/hacked real BIG business will surfer . Without any big problems ETH will dominant crypto scene and Bitcoin network effect will be OVER.

And we will face real free market fight price/speed/stability.
If Etherum will be faster ( already is ) , if Etherum will be cheaper ( already is ),etherum have some stability
without changes to protocol or segwit BTC will be off race.
