The reason bitmain want bch as payment is :
1. Political way to take over bitcoin. All what i know bch was forked by jihan wu from china.
2. Because bitcoin blockchain is really slow in confirmations and the fees is really high now.
3. The price of bitcoin predicted will goes down and bch will goes up its makes them on bigger profit.

I read an interview awhile back from a guy in one of the huge mining facilities in China and they said they mine BTC and sell it all for Bitcoin Cash. I should have bought some then when it was around $300. They are definitely going to try and get everyone to switch to Bitcoin cash someday. And with all the mining power they have it could congest the original BTC chain down enough to get people to do it, in my opinion. Because everyone is already sick of the slow transactions and high fees. Hopefully a fix for BTC is implemented soon.

The Chinese Mining Industries Want VERY BADLY to Make BCH the new Bitcoin.  They have traditionally sold their Bitcoins for BCH and if the were ever successful they will be the largest holders.  If there was ever a dispute as to which version of Bitcoin was the real Bitcoin, the exchanges would favor whichever coin has the biggest Hashing support.  Since most of the BCH holders are miners, they could hijack the Brand by switching over their hashing power.  Basically, they want the BTC brand on BCH, which they control and they want it bad.

Bitmain is owned by jihan wu and we know jihan wu just big supporter or can be considered as the people backed the bitcoin cash with roger ver too.  Jihan wu against the blockstream and hate the bitcoin. that's why jihan has an intention to replace the bitcoin with bitcoin cash. That's why bitmain only accept the bitcoin cash to make the more users of the bitcoin cash itself.

That's to support BitcoinCash I'm not surprised if BITMAN prioritizes BitcoinCash because we know Co-founder BITMAIN is an influential person in BitcoinCash community.
Do they see something in BCH?  which I know their community sees Bitcoincash as being a true Bitcoin
Why not BTC?  because they assume BitcoinCash is better than Bitcoin

This just seems hypocritical seeing they sell Bitcoin miners... But I believe you are absolutely correct..  Some HODLERS of BCH would have got some great deals on miners today then am I right?
