I think the operating systems and hardware on phones get obsolete, and need require a technical upgrade. When my Iphone slow down, is not responding properly, then iPhone Recovery Mode may solve problem. I put iphone in recovery mode, and reinstall iOS without erasing data. Sometimes it needs to be done.

Im still looking to know the answer to my question, I want to know if its the quality of the build or the read/write limit of the chips inside.
Prob combination of both.

My television doesnt slow down, the speedometer on the car doesnt slow down. My first Generation Xbox doesnt slow down. My PSP doesnt slow down. My Microwave oven, that works after nearly 20 years.

So why are Mobile phones and tablets the only devices to slow down. Im going with Read/Writes

Because all of those devices dont get updates nearly as often as your phone. Your phones os and apps update constantly and become bigger and more hungry as time goes on.

There are many factors why older smarthphone gets slower. The first reason is its cpu's capacity. The second reason is its software version. The third reason is its motherboard's capability tends to be slower as time goes by. And the last reason is that, many apps and systems are running and as you update your software versin, its not smooth since iits not suitable for that phone.

Hi Dudes...

What causes older Mobile Phones to Slow Down?
Is it because the memory Read/Writes are failing?

Also, why is it, when a mobile phone is left for 6 months in a drawer, the touch screen fails on cheaper phones?

This tends not to happen with Samsung and Apple Phones, but overall, the cheaper the phone, the quicker it degrades....

I wonder sometimes if the touchscreen corrodes or something...

Old mobile phones has low processing power to process the latest mobile applications that requires more processing power to work smoothly!

I think it's the new apps that's being developed that makes old phones to slow down. The apps are made for new phones with better specs than the older ones.

because when gadgets are used for a very long time, the apps are slowed because the caches are slowing down.the junk files have taken a lot of memory because keeps a lot of little space and therefore the mobile phones get slower.
