This will be done via smart contracts through ethereum platform and hyperledger.

So this is why few months back there were news about consensys building blockchain projects in dubai. Consensys is a developing studio focused primarly on ethereum.

I don't think this help anyonr much as this same news was there a few months ago. First of all in order for mining to be profitable you need electricity for running and cooling the servers. Last year the temperature had reach 48°C here. There is also a chance that they find some solution as oil demand is declining. Till now none of the famous newspaper here have reported anything like this so it isn't official yet.

I would expect Ripple to be more out there with such a blockchain payment system related topic, it is nice to see other coins get attention from bigger audience in finance department.
Ethereum certainly can hold its own if it comes to a bigger audience, certainly better than ripple. Lets see what happens.
