Isn't these groups are beneficial for us too?
No.  The whole principle of a pump-and-dump relies on taking a sucker's money who buys into the hype.  In ordinary markets, taking part in pump-and-dump is illegal, and the OP is correct that it should not be considered differently here.

Also, the more public pump-and-dump groups (like Telegram groups) try to entice newbies to join, then the owners buy in before announcing a pump and dumping their coins in the poor newbies.  It's another clever scam tactic which is used.
Why the one who sell on peak price and buy on dumps should be considered as criminal
It's nothing to do with that.  It's about manipulating the market to scam other people out of money.

Yes, agreed. Tx.

Im just in. Only thing i did was FOMO. Im in BNB right now, but little to late to my likings and could v gotten in much cheaper... But i had a lot of faith in it and still do. What i learned is never FOMO basicly and dont buy in to succer coins and ur good to go :p

I don't have any good or bad opinion for such groups but I have lost my 100% capital in my initial days just because I used to make trade decisions based on the suggestions of the troll box. Most of the time it caused a huge loss in my trades, almost each and every time I invested randomly and it was bad timing of entry and exit in pump and dump processes.

I won't blame pump & dump schemes or even those troll box users because it was me who blindly took decisions and lost my capital so instead of blaming someone else, we must build awareness about mature trading practices.
I want to share one of my favorite quotes by Robert Downey Jr.

“Listen, smile, agree, and then do whatever the f*** you were gonna do anyway.”

This is how I function since I have come across this quote. I appreciate that you do not put the burden of your actions on other’s shoulders. That’s brave of you. In order to grow and learn, we are supposed to make mistakes and they are proof that at least we are trying but many don’t.

Ive read some stories by now and some have simply been wiped out of all their savings, never to come back. I dont know, do what you want, but i would never set up such a thing.
Yes exactly, it happens. Market is shaking every time and many times that shaking is due to this pump and then dumps that. That affect mostly to small traders and they lost all they had because of their bad stress management. I will recommend them staying calm under such circumstances.
