Spam threads

Hello! I just want to report these spam threads and these users spamming the forum please ban them or put a red paint

There's a report to moderator function on the lower right of every post, I'd suggest you to use it.
(Ofc that needs a moderator to be around to handle your report, which doesn't seem to be the case right now, but nothing else you can do than wait for one)

Speaking of which,how do you know if  a moderator is around ? By checking their last-seen / online status or forum has a hidden page to check online moderators ? If I'm not wrong,aren't mods are suppose to be available 24/7 according to the different time zones ? Just curious,being an active reporter (not with as high accuracy as you )

You don't. Even if they are around, that doesn't necessarily mean that they are actually moderating.

That does not work due to auto-reloaders et. al.

You are wrong. There is no requirement for the moderators of this forum to actually do anything. You can choose to never be around for weeks, even months. Eventually, you may be kicked out due to very prolonged inactivity (which poses a security threat anyway).

I've found that reporting anything other than classic spam (links && bots) in addition to un-deleted bumps is often not worth the effort. The problem(s) are not being tackled on a global level within the forum, and there's a reason for that (I'll let you speculate about the potential reason).
Three nice examples of us reverting back to "what.. you.. if..when..." cancer threads:
What will you do if bitcoin price goes to $2k - $3k+?
Do you save bitcoin for fun or for future purpose?
how to explain to friend about Bitcoin ??

I've found that reporting anything other than classic spam (links && bots) in addition to un-deleted bumps is often not worth the effort. The problem(s) are not being tackled on a global level within the forum, and there's a reason for that (I'll let you speculate about the potential reason).

I'll have the benefit of the doubt,in that case.

Do you save bitcoin for fun or for future purpose?

I do remember reporting a few new one's as 'not-constructive' which were moved to Off-Topic.However,I do get your point,like the threads listed above should be acted upon by either moving to off-topic or trashcan.

It's funny,  those "cancer" threads always seem to start proliferating when bitcoin's price is rising--same as scam attempts and loan threads.   But they've been a serious nuisance ever since I started lurking on bct in 2014. 

I started reporting a lot of posts in the past couple of months,  and I agree.  It's only the bot spam, wrong language,  and wrong section reports that get acted on, not the shitposts & shitthreads.

I'm fairly sure they've been around since the inception of Bitcointalk. There has always been scum, and I expect that there always will be.

It's only the bot spam, wrong language,  and wrong section reports that get acted on, not the shitposts & shitthreads.

theymos doesn't care about the massive spam problem, and anyone with the power to do anything on a large scale (quite rightly) doesn't want to go against theymos' wishes. You can see attempts to try and clean things up by Staff members such as Mitchell in their respective efforts, however it seems that only Staff such as him feel the need to do anything.

One would think that after so many posts, I would have learned somewhat how things go around here. There was a time at which this was a much smaller problem (a period in which BadBear && many other genuine community members were active).

I started reporting a lot of posts in the past couple of months,  and I agree.  It's only the bot spam, wrong language,  and wrong section reports that get acted on, not the shitposts & shitthreads.

An occasional thread getting move, locked is pretty much a fake gesture at this point. Due to this inaction you can see a steady decline of actually interesting/genuine members (e.g., KWH is one of the recent users who is much less active for this very reason).

At one point, these threads did get locked for generating massive spam.
I am not sure why this is no longer the case.

This is due to me spamming huge lists of cancer threads in the Staff section, back in the day.
