I'm looking into GPU mining again. Just for the small scale fun.
I did it in 2013 and 2014. I really liked it, but I hated the noise and heat.
Although the heat was great in the winter.

I still have to buy Gpu's probably RX470/RX480 or if cheap RX570/RX580 (better resell value)
I been looking into cooling and found two possible cooling candidates:
ARCTIC Accelero S3 (passive or with 1 FAN) or Arctic Accelero Twin Turbo III.
and some silent 120mm Case fans.

Does anyone have experience  with these mining or any other Silent solutions. (undervolt?)

From my experience undervolted asus strix rx 470s are ultra quiet, there is no need for an aftermarket solution, depending on your setup and ambient temperature the fans should spin below 1000 rpm, when i put mine in a really cold room(~10c ambient) the fans would turn off periodically because gpu would reach only 50c while mining zcash.

Best cooled card you can get is MSI Gaming X , two large fans that run very quite while spinning lots of air , you can under clock , under volt , get very decent hash-rate and still runs ultra quiet .

Agree with that, msi gamingx twin frozer is the best cooling and lowest noise , very efficeint fans , i have msi gamingx and gigabyte g1 , the gigabyte cooling is not good at all very noisy also.

i have the gaming-x 470 in openair setup, and the fans are idle almost half the time. very quiet

24" PCI-E cables with 16AWG wires and stripped ends - great for server PSU mods, best prices https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=563461
No longer a wannabe - now an ASIC owner!

The ASUS R9 380 is a very quiet card. The cooler is also a bit over engineered.

There is a special 0db fan quiet mode.

All GPUs unless they are reference are quiet.

Keep in mind this is coming from someone who slept next to an Antminer S4 (underclocked a little)

My friend has the same problem. Well outside air typically hits around 80 degrees in the garage. The 7 GPU's get hotter than the outside air so he moved her entire rig out to the garage! Now if you get winter and need heat you can move them back in but as he is in New Zealand and he uses this system: http://fonko.co.nz/commercial-home/cool-and-freezer-rooms/ BTW the RX 480 max temp is 90 degrees Celsius that is 194 degrees Fahrenheit so being in the garage has not affected the temperature of the cards by more than 2-3 degrees Celsius.

Best cooling and silent solution is mineral oil. Just dump your rig in container with mineral oil. GG
