Somehow I ended up with two wallet files in electrum (2.8.2 Win 10) The one I was using, "buy online" and "default wallet". I've been using the buy online and somehow when I bought coin I transferred it to "default wallet". Went to buy something and when I sent, it said wrong password, which is when I noticed default wallet instead of buy online. My question is do you have to create the default wallet when you set up electrum for the first time or is it included in the setup. If I had to set up a default wallet I probably have the seed words if it was already there is there some kind of default password? I know if the seed and password are gone so is the dough.
Normally at first when you install electrum it asks you to name the wallet and the name by default of this wallet is "default_wallet"
After this it asks you to create the seed and password. If you have the wallet file and the seed somewhere you can restore it, it is easy through File/New/Restore , choose I already have the seed.
default_wallet.dat should be in this directory.
C:\Users\"yourname here"\AppData\Roaming\Electrum\wallets
If you don't remember nor the seed nor the password, your bitcoins are lost forever.
