Cheapest/most reliable/best method to buy/sell bitcoin with UK bank account?

For Eurozone bank account holders your best bet I guess is French govt. supervised Bitcoin Central, I am sure the Americans have their own safe bet other than secretive Mt.Gox (just for curiosity: which is it?) but my question is how you can buy and sell most easily /cheapest /most reliable with a UK bank account?
