Hi guys,

I am very new here and I just started with mining about 2 months ago, so pleased to meet you all! Wink

I have about 5 GPU miners using EthOS, but I want to change them all to Windows 10 to save energy and mine faster by flashing all of the GPU bioses with the recommended roms that are online. Right now, I've bought about 24 pieces of Sapphire Nitro+ OC RX480 8GB GPU, but after experimenting only 1 of them on Windows 10, I managed to mine about 24~25 mh/s (I had to change the memory clock from 2000 to 2200 though). So here comes the part that I am stuck with: When I finish flashing a recommended rom and restart windows, the resolution is somehow low and it also seems that my GPU isn't being recognized as an AMD or NVidia card. I get a message saying that I can't start mining (because no AMD or NVidia card is found) and after a couple seconds, my console screen closes automatically. So here are the urls I have been following without any success:

- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rqJIR4FirjM&t=297s
- https://forum.ethereum.org/discussion/9650/sapphire-rx-480-nitro-oc-8gb-11260-01-20g-modded-bios-29-mh-downvolt

I have tried all of the roms, but none of them would let me mine on any pool... Did anyone face the same problem?

Looking forward to all your responses!

Sounds like a signature check issue from using a custom rom. Either use Crimson drivers <=16.11, which don't check for a valid signature or patch the driver:

Agreed.

I use 16.9.2 on my rigs with modified bios and have no problems.

You can patch newer drivers too, disabling signature verification in windows, and patching driver.
