Ahh, right at the end there... my bad. What about my Paxful account? Would that fall under the same category?

Generally all accounts are not considered as valid collateral, except some high level/trust bitcointalk accounts, which usually get collateral free loans anyway. This is, because most accounts (especially steam and paxful) can be social engineered back, and are hard to resell in case of a default.

-> Your collateral is not worth the loan asked for.
-> Digital Goods can always be changed of their ownership regardless of whatever.
-> If you're not fond of negative paint on your throwaway account, please lock the thread.
-> If you still wish to argue, have fun.

I think steam is not a valid collateral as it can be reverse if you send their support a ticket to say that your account got hacked or something, and their team could do something to get your account back for you.

This is my main and only account, not a throwaway. I only started trading btc on Paxful back in January of this year and I am brand new to bitcointalk, so I am still fairly new to btc in general. This is my Paxful account/profile: https://paxful.com/user/joshgrulkowski

I am still interested in getting a loan as well as begin to establish trust within the bitcointalk community - if my collateral is not worth the loan that I am asking for, is there a lesser amount you would be willing to lend for it?

I wasn't aware that a steam account could be recovered, but if that is the case, please know that I have absolutely no intention of recovering my account should I fail to repay any potential loan.

Unless you can present some type of collateral that is 120% of what youre asking, no one is going to help you. Want to build trust? Do more than just asking for a loan. Trust is more than just about money. If you think trust is bought with money then you have a lot to learn. I do find it weird how you reply after a month still seeking a loan.

Please read the sticky topic (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=577765.0) and lock this thread.

Yeahhh, I can definitely see how you/someone could think that. I guess I didn't exactly think it through very well... I got notification of a new message from somebody on here this morning, which was originally my only reason for visiting the site (otherwise I've continued to carry out basically all of my btc trading via Paxful). I figured I would attempt to get caught up with this along with the multiple other things I am catching up on today as well.

I suppose I'll lock this thread for now and possibly revisit the subject at a later time, when I actually have everything in order and in accordance with the rules laid out in the stickies.

Thanks anyway!  Smiley
