Bitpay--how long does it take?

I've got a non-profit that I think could help out the bitcoin community a lot.  Some here were interested in donating (which would be great!), but I've not been set up to accept bitcoin donations.  Some suggested Bitpay since we're an IRS-recognized non-profit think tank.  I signed up there, it's been a few days, but when I try to log on it fails saying "inactive account."  What do I have to do to activate it?
