Hi Guys

I'm wanting to setup my first LTC mining rig here in the UK. If you had £10,000 to invest in it what setup would you get? I have a power supply that is going to cost me less than 5 pence per unit.

Any thoughts and input would be gratefully appreciated

Regards

Mark

I'd go for GPU's. My personal favourites would be: HD5970 (very hard to get nowadays) and HD58xx (not so hard to get).
From latest generation HD7870XT looks good + HD7790 (I have ordered one  Cool) which seems to deliver the best performance per watt.

Buy Avalon chips and let them assemble by a third party.
You can find a lot of info about this on this forum...

If you have that much startup cash, I would purchase ASICs and mine bitcoin.

I don't think that you can mine LTC using ASIC... not yet  Cool

ASIC are still in "short supply" I would say, and waiting for something several months is a waste of time for me  Cool

The DIY route might be available in a few weeks. If it isn't, I would go with some late 6/7000 series cards in a couple of rigs.

Build multiple 4x 7950 rigs and collect LTC.

Just make sure you're profitable after electricity costs in your locale.
