Ok just to make sure i got this right. You downlaod BCC wallet on a separate computer , You Then export your BTC core private key from pc 1 and you then copy your BTC core private key into PC2 running the BCC wallet Huh

in other words you use your BTC core private key and paste it into the BCC core ??  that way you will have both coins in different wallets ?

So after the fork means ;

What time should spend BTC or out from the previous wallet? After 30 minutes or 1 hour or next few minutes??

good question, an i am not sure about the answer!
you see the problem with bitcoin cash hard fork is that they are not setting a block for their fork for example saying we will fork after block 478500. instead there is a time which is Tue 1 Aug 2017 12:20:00 UTC. and it may take a while before they find the first block because of low hashrate. possibly 1 hour to 1 day.

Ok just to make sure i got this right. You downlaod BCC wallet on a separate computer , You Then export your BTC core private key from pc 1 and you then copy your BTC core private key into PC2 running the BCC wallet Huh

in other words you use your BTC core private key and paste it into the BCC core ??  that way you will have both coins in different wallets ?

you should first spend your bitcoin *After* the fork and *before* importing it in the BCC wallet.
it is not pasting, it is called importing. the rest look correct to me.

Hey Pooya,

Not sure I quite get what you mean by "spending it". After the fork, which as you say we should wait at least a day for to be safe, we should spend our btc, then transfer our private key to computer 2 where we have our bitcoin cash wallet and then import our key?

By spend do you mean transfer our btc to another new wallet with a new seed?

Here's what I understand:

1. Create new BTC wallet with new seed (before or after the split or it doesnt matter?)
2. Transfer BTC to this wallet (before or after the split?)
3. Export private key of this new wallet.
4. Install BCC wallet on another computer
5. Copy private key to this computer and disconnect it from the internet
6. Import private key to BCC wallet

recommendations to install electron cash on another computer?

yes, it is best to install any bitcoin cash wallet on a separate computer to protect your main computer from it. and as i said if you don't have another machine just use a live linux with minimal access to your system and no persistence.

Not sure I quite get what you mean by "spending it". After the fork, which as you say we should wait at least a day for to be safe, we should spend our btc, then transfer our private key to computer 2 where we have our bitcoin cash wallet and then import our key?

By spend do you mean transfer our btc to another new wallet with a new seed?
yes that is what i mean by spend: sending bitcoin from "old wallet" to "new wallet" on bitcoin blockchain then moving the old wallet (seed or private keys) that are now empty to computer #2

1. for creating it doesn't matter (besides we are already after the fork)
2. transfer must be after the fork (now is good)
3. no, your new wallet is created to protect your funds (your bitcoins) you should not export private keys of this wallet anywhere. what you export is the OLD private keys which are now empty of "bitcoin" but still has the "bitcoin cash" on it.
4,5,6. correct as long as you are doing it with OLD wallet's private key.

Thanks for the guide. It's very helpful. I have a Blog in Brazilian Portuguese language. Can I translate it into Brazilian Portuguese?

make sure to create a new wallet and you can transfer your BTC to a new electrum wallet now. wait for about 30 confirmation.
then install electron cash on another computer and import the old seed there

Hi I followed this tutorial:

1. Install Electron Cash on a machine that does not have your
 Electrum wallets.

 2. Wait until the BCC hard fork has taken place, and a few BCH blocks
 have been mined.

 3. Move all your Electrum funds to a new Electrum wallet. This will
move only your BTC, and not your BCH, because the BCH blockchain has
replay protection. Wait until the transaction is confirmed.

 4. Enter the seed of your (now empty) old wallet or private keys in
Electron Cash. Since the BTC have been moved to a new wallet,
entering your old seed in Electron Cash will not put your BTC funds
 at risk.

On Electron Cash I disabled Auto Server and chose casharia but I get only my BTC transactions and 0 BCH:

Where are my hidden BCH ?

Can someone reply to me please.  Did I do something wrong? Or should I just wait few days?

Why is Electron Cash not sending neither importing keys for me?

I tried importing a private key sweep, but it shows it still shows it's unconfirmed after 8 hours on the blockchain.

Then when I tried to send my confirmed BCC balance, which I imported before Augest1,  I get:

error: The transaction was rejected by network rules. (16: mandatory-script-verify-flag-failed (Signature must use SIGHASH_FORKID))

[010000000002b5......

Why is it not confirming my imported key? and why is it not sending my confirmed BCC? Any help appreciated thanks

Does Electrum send both BTC and BCC if I sent BTC to another wallet with it after Aug 1?

I changed to follow a BCC server from the network settings.   I still get the same error message and cannot broadcast send my confirmed BCC,   and I still get unconfirmed imported key balance.

The question that I have:

1.  Has anyone verified if this electron cash wallet is reliable?

2. If yes, has anyone managed to get BCC (BCH) from original Electrum wallet seed method?

3. If not, Are there any other wallet reliable that doesn't have to download 120 Gb to get BCC (BCH)?

If I do not get the answers to these questions, I will not even touch the BCCs (BCH's) that have been generated until I get these answers.

And Exodus just released an easier way to claim BCH from your wallet on their last update release of their wallet:
https://steemit.com/bitcoin/@itsshowtime007/claim-bch-with-your-exodus-wallet

All clean and straight forward without needing to do anything with private keys or anything like that.
Just straight from the GUI interface. Cool

How simple can that be!? Wink
