Hey guys this is going to sound stupid but just got my first 1080ti in and it requires an 8 pin and a 6 pin connection.  Each of my EVGA GPU power supply cords have an 8 pin and a 6 pin connection on each cable.  Is it safe to use both of them on the card or do I need to run another 6 pin to connect the power?

It is safe to use both of them. It is setup that way so you can use both of them off a single cable run and not have extra wires everywhere.

Stop buying industrial miners, running them at home, and then complaining about the noise.
